Triangle Quilting: A one and a half hour skill building seminar on pinwheel quilting Saturday April 22 from 11-12:30. Our instructor Sandra teaches you the techniques to create a triangle quilting sample, which they can expand to a full sized quilt. She'll show you how to cut a half square triangle while avoiding the difficult bias cut, instruct you on selecting fabrics of different colours and values to give your project the most impact, and guide you through hand sewing your first project.
Only students who have not participated in a free class this month are eligible to participate.
Materials: 2-8 fat quarters in a variety of values, a sharp pencil, a square OMNI grid ruler (either a 12.5 inch square or a 6 inch square), a pair of fabric scissors and/or a rotary cutter, a sewing needle, cotton thread (neutral colour), straight pins.
All materials must be purchased at Eweknit. Please arrive early to make your selection.
