Baa Ram Ewe's Winterburn DK throws the spotlight on another wonderful Yorkshire sheep breeds, the Masham. The Masham has smaller ringlets of fleece than the Wensleydale but with added bounce and loft that it gets from its hill-loving male ancestry; the Dalesbred. Winterburn DK was launched in 2018 and is the replacement for the Dovestone DK. A shortage of Wensleydale fleece made Baa Ram Ewe unable to continue to produce enough Dovestone DK to keep up with demand. Spun to the same spec and yardage, Winterburn DK works perfectly with Dovestone DK and even ahs the same shade range.
