Lotta was created by Lotta Nieminen, an illustrator and graphic designer from Helsinki, Finland. After working for fashion magazine Trendi, Pentagram design and RoandCo studio, Lotta now runs her own New York studio. In 2010, she received the Art Directors Club Young Guns award and has been short listed and selected for many other design related awards. Her clients include Hermes, Volkswagen and Monocle.
Lotta found the brief very exciting and researched garments from her favourite BBC show 'Pride and Prejudice'. After finalising the characters she went on to create something for them to wander in. A flower and animal filled garden seemed appropriate for this Liberty print so that the background also interpreted patterns found on clothing in this era.
