Carmen Pullover Kit

Where crochet meets knit in perfect harmony. Carmen is a striking, intermediate-level sweater pattern featuring a hand-crocheted bodice seamlessly transitioning into a soft, knitted base. Finished with a show-stopping red bow at the back, this design blends elegance with playful charm. A truly unique make for crafters who love texture, technique, and timeless style.

This sweater begins with a crocheted collar. Then the yoke is picked up along the lower edge of the collar and worked from the top down with raglan shaping. A small section of short rows is worked at the bottom of the raglan and lower hem for a more relaxed fit. Sleeve instructions are written to use DPNs, however an alternate method of working small circumferences can be used, such as Magic-Loop, or a short circular needle for the larger sizes.

2.75 mm (US C-2) Crochet Hook

3.25 mm (US 3) circular needle 32” / 80 cm (or longer for larger sizes) and an optional set of Double Pointed Needles (DPNs)

3.75 mm (US 5) circular needle 16” / 40 cm, 32” / 80 cm (or longer for larger sizes), and an optional set of Double Pointed Needles (DPNs)

Waste yarn or stitch holders, tapestry needle. 

Approx 1 yd / 1 m length of 1½” / 4 cm wide satin ribbon for back neck tie or alternatively, 1 pearl button for back closure.

2 pearl buttons for sleeve cuffs.

24 sts & 32 rnds = 4” / 10 cm in Stockinette / Stocking stitch on a 3.75 mm (US 5) needle, after blocking.
