Shawl is worked flat back and forth in rows on a long circular needle to accommodate the amount of stitches, or on straight needles if preferred. The lace pattern is worked by either following the written instructions or from the chart. Gauge is not crucial for this project, however a difference in gauge could affect the finished size of shawl, and the amount of yarn required.
